PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The D-R 800 Dust Concentration Monitor by the DURAG Group is ideal for emission control in industrial plants. The D-R 800 is a continuous in-situ measuring device and the measuring principle of the D-R 800 provides greater independence as velocity and electrical loading of the dust particles do not have any influence. The D-R 800 is a simple one-side stack mounting device and even thick walls are not problem for installation because only one hole of 70mm diameter is needed for flange monitoring.

The measuring device on the D-R 800 works on the principle of scattering light in forward direction and this physical principle explains the high sensitivity of this device. The collimated and modulated light beam of a Laser Diode crosses the measuring volume and the collected ‘stray light’ is proportional to dust concentration and is transferred via a special optical fibre to a receiver diode. There it is processed by a highly sensitive circuit to give the final measurement value.

The D-R 800 Dust Concentration Monitor has no moving parts in the stack which will ensure the extended lifetime of the instrument. The programming can be via the control display directly at the measuring device or comfortably from a PC via bus interface.
