The D-R 220 Optical Dust and Opacity Meter by the DURAG Group has an extended measuring path length of up to 10 metres. The optics and electronic components of measuring head and reflector are protected by robust IP65 housings made from special high quality plastic. The D-R 220 is easy to install and there is no need for additional weather protection covers and is rounded off by a PC interface for simple service and a Modbus RTU interface for data transfer.

The D-R 220 Optical Dust and Opacity Meter is a non-compliant device for smaller plants or process measurements. Heating stations, power stations, boiler plants in industry, barracks, hospitals and schools.

The device operates using the double pass method according to the auto-collimation principle. The light beam traverses the measuring distance twice. The attenuation of the light beam by the dust content in the measuring section is measured and evaluated.
