PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONThe MiniVol Portable Air Sampler by Airmetrics can be configured to collect either PM-2.5, PM-10 or TSP particulate samples. The MiniVol pump draws air at 5 l/minute through a particle size separator (impactor) and then through a 47mm filter. The 10 micron or 2.5 micron particle separation is achieved by impaction or a TSP sample can be collected by removing the impactor. Gas Samples can be taken simultaneously with particulate matter samples. The MiniVol comes equipped with low flow and low battery shut-offs and operates from a rechargeable, lead-acid battery. The battery can power the sampler for 24 hours of continuous sampling before the battery pack must be exchanged for a freshly charged one. The MiniVol also features a 7-day programmable timer, an elapsed time totalizer and rugged PVC construction. For particulate sampling the MiniVol uses 47mm filters to collect particulate matter. Filters should be weighed pre and post exposure with a microbalance accurate to one microgram. |

SIMPLE OPERATION The TAS was designed with ease of use in mind. It uses intuitive controls and easy on/off programming to virtually eliminate operator error. LOW MAINTENANCE All sampler components were designed for maximum durability and minimal maintenance. Even the routine cleaning of the size selective inlets has been simplified with the design of the Easy Maintenance Target (EMT). LIGHTWEIGHT & PORTABLE The compact sampler design weighs less than 10LBS when fully configured. The sampler and accessories are easily stored in an all-in-one transport case. MULTIPLE MOUNTING OPTIONS A universal mounting bracket allows for attachment to vertical or horizontal surfaces, the fold-up lightweight tripod allows for free standing operation. POWER OPTIONS The TAS functions via AC/DC or solar power for urban or remote location sampling. HIGH EFFICIENCY PUMP Airmetrics introduces a double diaphragm pump designed specifically for the TAS. The pump incorporates Airmetrics’ unique “laminar flow valve technology” and features a precision Swiss ball bearing motor with precious metal commutation, designed for a service life in excess of 10,000 hours. SAMPLING MEDIA The TAS utilizes standard US EPA FRM 47mm cassettes. A wide variety of filter media is available for specific sampling applications. FRM STYLE INLET The TAS features a telescoping inlet tube to provide optimal exposure. WELL EQUIPPED Duplicates of major sampler components are included to simplify field work. The extra battery, filter holder and size selective inlet can be serviced while the duplicates are in use. The standard PM-10 sampler includes:
