Port Waratah Coal ServicesPort Waratah Coal Services (PWCS) is the world's largest coal export operation and in 2010 they are on track to export 97 million tonnes of coal from their various coal loading facilities around Australia. With the help of LSA and our state-of-the-art continuous 'real-time' dust monitors PWCS has been advancing their dust mitigation and monitoring program at their Carrington coal loading facility. The Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) installed at the Carrington facility includes a network of four Series FH62 C14 Continuous Ambient Particulate Monitors housed in compact air conditioned enclosures. These particulate monitors continuously monitor Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) and the monitors are interfaced with the client's SCADA industrial communication. This network will monitor particulate matter in 'real-time' and in the event of high readings PWCS automatically activates dust suppression measures. These measures are in-line with Port Waratah Coal Services commitment to environmental responsibility and their outstanding tradition of adhering to stringent dust control laws. This network of four Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) were designed, integrated and tested at the LSA factory and then installed at site by our capably technically competent LSA engineers. |
